Oriental Medicine
Oriental Medicine (acupuncture and herbal medicine) is an elegant, 3,000 year old art of balancing energetic imbalances (disease) by means of inserting and stimulating very slender needles at specific points on the body (acupuncture) and drinking specific herbal formulas known to balance meridian and organ level energy (herbal medicine). It is a natural, holistic approach to health that treats both the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Based on an energetic model rather than the biochemical model of Western medicine, acupuncture directly contacts the Qi (pronounced “chee”), or energy, that flows through your body and regulates it to prevent and resolve patterns of imbalance (disease).
It helps the body heal itself and prevents recurrence of disease.
